We open the doors of Perception and you walk in

Magic is everywhere

In order to SEE it and the effects it has on your life, you need to change the way you PERCEIVE.

In order to HARNESS it, you need to change the way you INTERACT with the energies around you.

In order to KNOW it, you need to change the way you THINK.

In our psychotherapy practice for Conscious Living*, we offer you Assisted Self Discovery*. The basic tenets are changing Perspective and Perception. It’s about commitment to change, wanting to change and giving yourself permission to do so: to let go of the old.

Childhood wounding is big, it’s your programming or conditioning that needs to be undone and released. We help you to notice unhelpful thinking patterns and counteract them. Then there’s the turnaround, in action: doing something new. There are actual tools, like re-setting every 24 hours, breathing and meditation practices, staying in the now – which is mindfulness. It’s practical and it works. We give you a new language. Scales fall from your eyes. Clients say they have a Damascus Moment.

Our meaning for Conscious Living* and Assisted Self Discovery is about learning from daily life experiences:

  • What causes us to self-sabotage, be addicted, anxious and depressed
  • How we can change using a variety of different practical tools and techniques
  • Who we are and how we can navigate and manage ourselves and our interpersonal relationships

Psycho Education is also about learning a new “language” that helps you enter and navigate your way through the Doors of Perception

Our Blog offers a variety of articles that can help you in a variety of different ways:

Tools and Techniques – Will help you identify when you feel overwhelmed and ‘want to run’ or ‘blow a gasket’ when a calm measured approach would help you better manage your feelings and your situation.

Food for Thought – Will help you stimulate you to ‘see life’s challenges in a new light’. Our series ‘Change Matters Goes to the Movies’ does just that.

The Information Sheet – Will inform you about our sometimes, unique and various different approaches, that we have developed in our practice

Developing your Inner Observer, Part 1 – Identifying

Gathering information is vital for us all in our survival on the planet. It helps us to decide what is safe or harmful. It protects us by getting us to behave instinctively. It also helps us socially connect, fit in and engenders a sense of belonging. In the...

The Whole Truth: The Matrix of Self-discovery

I love the film The Matrix, because of the clarity and simplicity of its symbols. I find it a useful way to think about how psychotherapy can bring about transformation. The change process is, crucially, a shift in perception, stemming from a serious willingness to...

Is this for me?

Yes, if you are ready to do the work to change what you do not like in your life. Your own beliefs, behaviours and choices are, after all, you have control over (we can’t change other people). You may feel you need counselling, advice, or couples therapy. You may be lacking in zest and energy and not sure why. You may have a lot of conflict with friends and family. You may have tried different therapies without getting the kinds of real results you want.
You may not be sure of your direction in life, or you may just be in pain.
