The Pottery Night
Meditation Cookbook
My friend Bar loves to do pottery. She also loves being with her friends.
So every Tuesday night, for as long as I can remember, she has combined these two activities with a meal around the kitchen table.
I love food. What I do on a Tuesday is cook the meal. This is basic, nourishing, home-cooked food that is inspired by the beautiful pottery containers that Bar and her friends make.
I also use the process of cooking as a meditation – sort of a practice for 'doing my own being’. I use what is available and I never know how the meal will turn out. Most of the time, judging by the grunts and slurps from our friends, it turns out good.
Each month I will take a recipe and share it with you. As this is inspirational cooking my measurements are probably non-existent, but what counts is that it may stimulate you into making up your own dishes.
