Bounteous Bovines
My friend went to visit her sister who lives high on a hill surrounded by the lush vegetation of Southern Zimbabwe. The smallholding is self-sufficient and many a delicious meal is provided by these bovines whose diet can consist of fallen ripe guavas and wild undergrowth instead of the usual meadow fodder.
These adaptable cows provide enough fresh warm milk to not only feed the family and visitors but also to make delicious cheese.
Here is a pictorial record of what happens in their daily lives.
